Working conditions assessment

The special assessment of working conditions (SOUT) is mandatory for all Russian employers under the Labour Code. It determines the level of hazardous factors in the office and on the production floor.

It identifies factors harmful or dangerous to the health of people working in offices and production facilities, measures how far the readings deviate from the norms, and evaluates the effectiveness of personal and collective protective equipment.

For each inspected workplace one of four classes of working conditions is assigned (hazardous, harmful, acceptable, optimal), together with its subclass.
